The Jobsite Timesheet is designed to consolidate the capture of daily field data in one simple interface. The feature enables capture of the following:

  • LEMs (Self-performed and Vendor)  
  • Labor Expenses
  • Third Party Expenses (non-PO)
  • Field Receipts from Vendor POs
  • Project Progress (units of physical progress completed on the project for the day)
  • Documents such as scanned invoices and signed reports, with the ability to drag and drop various types of documents onto the timesheet, and utilize the 4castplus Document Management System
  • Daily Job Log with interactive Weather tracking, Safety, etc.

Jobsite Timesheets can be routed to one or more parties for approval. The Jobsite LEM Designer can be used to create multiple LEM Reports for internal and client reporting and sign-off.

To set up the Jobsite Timesheet, the 4castplus Administrator will need to:

  1. Enable the Site Foreman role (required).
  2. Enable authorized users for access to the Jobsite Timesheet workflow components (required).

Additionally, to utilize the Documents and Daily Log and certain Controls in the Jobsite Timesheet, the Administrator will need to:

  1. Enable the Jobsite Timesheet Preferences
  2. Configure Document Categories & Classes for Jobsite.
  3. Configure Daily Log Sections for Jobsite.


Enabling Roles and Permissions

The Jobsite Timesheet requires a user to have both the Role of Site Foreman to access the Timesheet as well as the Permission to enter data into the Only the Site Foreman role has access to the Timesheet.

Enabling the Site Foreman Role

  1. On the Menu bar, click Configuration.
  2. On the left pane, expand Resource Classes/Roles, and select Labor Roles.
  3. On the right pane, scroll down to Site Foreman, and make this role active.

Once the Site Foreman Role has been enabled, the Jobsite Timesheet users must be assigned to the Site Foreman Role, in the Project Resources workflow:

  1. On the Menu bar, click Projects.
  2. On the left pane, expand Projects, and select the project.
  3. On the right pane, go to the Resources tab, and to Project Labor Assignments.
  4. In the Project Labor Resources list, select to highlight the individual you want to assign the role to. This action loads the Roles list on the right.
  5. Select either the Primary or the Delegate checkbox. Primary and Delegate designations are used in the routing of approval and document workflows.

A Role may have multiple Delegates but only one Primary. Once a Primary has been assigned to another resource, clicking the Primary checkbox opens a prompt such as the one below.

Enabling Permissions for the Jobsite Timesheet

Permission for the Jobsite Timesheet can be granted to users either for access to the entire Timesheet, or to specific sections of the Timesheet workflow.

  1. On the Menu bar, click Configuration.
  2. On the left pane, expand Manage Resources, and select Permissions Management.
  3. Expand Timesheets, and then Jobsite Timesheet.
  4. On the right pane, all labor resources with a License Profile that allows them access to Jobsite Timesheet is listed.
  5. Select any of the following Jobsite Timesheet workflows to view the "permissioned" users:
    • Enter Timesheets
    • Jobsite Daily Log Workflow
    • Jobsite Documents Workflow
    • Jobsite Expenses Workflow
    • Jobsite Field Receiving
    • Jobsite LEM Workflow
    • Jobsite Progress Workflow
    • Jobsite Third Party Workflow
    • Offline Daily Jobsite Timesheet Administration

6. Check the Grant/Revoke Permission box to grant permission or uncheck it to revoke permission.

7. The Administrator can further permission what Views the user can see in the Jobsite Timesheet. Users can be permissioned to view Billable, Cost and/or Quantity.

8. Expand Views in the Permissions Management tree.

    • Billable view. 
    • Cost view. 
    • Quantity view.

    9. Check the Grant/Revoke Permission box to grant permission or uncheck it to revoke permission.

10. Click Save.

Another way of enabling permissions is within the Profile for a Labor Resource:

  1. On the Menu bar, click Configuration.
  2. On the left pane, expand Manage Resources, and select Labor.
  3. On the right pane, select to highlight an existing Labor Name from the Manage Labor Resources list.


4. Click Edit. Alternatively, you can double-click on the selected entry. Both actions open the Labor Information dialog box.

5. Go to the Permissions tab, and select any or all boxes to grant permissions or uncheck any or all boxes to revoke permissions.

For each labor resource, the Administrator can set specific permissions as to what can or cannot be accessed. The Permissions tab displays a tree with the areas in 4castplus that the labor resources can access with the License Profile they have. The Permissions tree varies depending on the license profile of the labor resource. For instance, the Permissions tree for a Time Entry labor resource displays Approvals, Documents, and Timesheets, while the Permissions tree for a Project Manager Pro resource includes Business Intelligence, Procurement, Projects, and Views.

6. Click Save.
